Marama Corlett was born in Malta and attended ballet school from the age of 11. Marama joined “Ballet Russ De Malt” run by “The Olivia Dow school of Russian Ballet”, a children’s Ballet company based in Malta and went on to play such roles as “Aurora” in The Sleeping Beauty at the age of 16 and different main roles in original ballet productions by John Baldacchino.

Marama worked with people with disabilities for two years while studying evening acting classes at “Masquerade Theatre Arts School” in Malta. She then went on to get a three year Dance and Drama award scholarship at a Musical Theatre School in London. Since graduating in 2008, Marama became part of the cast in a New Musical called “Valentino-Only a man” which will be touring Theatres in England and also showing in the West End in the new year. “What a Witch” was Marama’s first experience in film. When not performing, she enjoys studying languages such as Italian and Arabic, traveling and looking for good bargains at charity shops.

Marama Corlett about “What a Witch”:

“Playing Morgan was very exciting and fun. It is every persons dream to inherit a huge old house in the countryside and I was lucky enough to pretend I did. The location and house was amazing and it all had such a sense of mystery and magic. We were also told that Virginia Woolf used to visit Cleeve House and this just made it even more special. All the crew and cast worked very hard together, not only bringing the story to life, but also bringing different people from all across europe together. I consider my self very lucky to have been a part of this.”
