Be here (Adagio 1) by Ralf Hildenbeutel

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

The people who attended the premiere at Leicester Square might remember the music from the “Hall Scene”. The score of this scene is inspired by the song Be Here (Adagio 1) from the Album Lucy’s Dream by Ralf Hildenbeutel and is quite similar to the score.

For Be Here (Adagio 1) Ralf edited a musicvideo out of original footage from a car race:

Ralf Hildenbeutel in Dutch TV

Along with producing the What a Witch Score, Ralf Hildenbeutel recently composed the music for a dutch TV commercial. The TV Spot comes from Maandag, a dutch organisation which selects talented people and introduces them to companies.

The commercial is only viewable in the Netherlands and in Belgium but it is well worth a watch (and listen), especially from the artistic and aesthetic aspect.

Under the slogan: “Mislukken. Zoveel leuker dan nooit proberen” (Failing. Better than not trying), Maandag created a beautiful TV-Spot and is viewable for all “Non-Dutch-Citizens” on Ralf Hildenbeutel’s Homepage or YouTube:

The composed songs Ralf Hildenbeutel offered for What a Witch did not always fit perfectly to the length of the pictures. We originally thought that fading out the volume of the music might fit, and it actually does! However, a movie is made more perfect when the score is better arranged to the pictures. Although it is a big effort to rearrange all the songs, we have decided to take that challenge. And not only that: Ralf Hildenbeutel wants to recompose the songs in a way that a main melody will constanly flow throughout the entire movie.

This means that the process of this production will take a little longer than expected. The fact that crew members also live in different cities and countries has meant that some steps in this production have been more time consuming.

Your patience is needed! Meanwhile you can watch some more nice TV-Spots from Maandag.
